The Tigers came from behind in the bottom of the 8th inning to defeat the Boston Red Sox in their series opener on Thursday 4-3.

During that game, Miguel Cabrera hit a major milestone. He drove in the first run of the bottom of the 8th to spark the comeback, and it was RBI number 1,000 in a Tigers uniform.

He becomes the 11th Tiger of all-time to accomplish the feat, doing so in almost 9 full seasons with the team.

He is now chasing down Tigers great Alan Trammell who sits 10th with 1,003 RBIs for Detroit.
