CAAC Blue To Have Tournament To Determine Champion
For the first time ever, the Capital Area Activities Conference (CAAC) will hold a tournament in its Blue division to determine the league's champion in 2021.
The CAAC deemed it necessary this year because there will not be a full 12-game round-robin to figure out the Blue Division champion (due to multiple pauses caused by COVID-19). Tournaments are not necessary this year in the CAAC Red and White Divisions as they are almost certainly going to get their full league schedules in before the state tournament begins on March 22nd.
The Detroit Public School League and the Detroit Catholic League hold tournaments every year to determine their league's champion and have done so for many years.
The CAAC Blue Tournament for the girls will begin with quarterfinal games next Monday. And then the boys quarterfinal games will begin on Tuesday.
