The Big Ten Network announced on Monday that it has suspended football analyst Braylon Edwards (pictured) indefinitely for " a violation of the network's social media guidelines" in a tweet he sent on his Twitter account after Michigan's 24-17 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday night.

Edwards, a former Michigan wide receiver (2001-04) and a former Biletnikoff Award winner (2004), was not happy after the Wolverines lost to the Fighting Irish in South Bend.

Edwards' edited tweet:

"(Cesar) Ruiz is weak, line is weak, shea (Patterson) is scared, (expletive) Michigan offense is so predictable....Michigan football is sadly one thing.....trash."

The Wolverines play their home opener next Saturday against Western Michigan at noon.
