The Boston Bruins eliminated The Detroit Red Wings 4-2 in Game 5 of their first round Eastern Conference playoff series at TD Garden Saturday afternooon. Loui Eriksson opened the scoring for Boston with a first period goal with Zdeno Chara's second period goal broke a 1-1 tie and MIlan Lucic scored in the third for the game winner. Jerome Iginla added an empty net goal to complete the scoring for the Bruins. Pavel Datsyuk tied the game at one in the second then Henrik Zetterberg scored late in the third to close within one goal. Jonas Gustavsson made 29 saves for the Red Wings while Tuukka Rask stopped 31 shots for Boston.  Boston will now face Montreal in the next round.
