Brock’s Random Thoughts on: The Insane Inflatable 5K
On Saturday, August 1st. I will be participating in my first 5K race. It's taking place at the Hope Sports Complex in Lansing.
Over the past year, I have made a concerted effort to get myself in better shape. On Memorial Day 2014, I weighed 201 lbs. I was FAT, lazy and tired all of the time. But I got on a different eating program and I lost 22 lbs in 6 weeks!!!
After that, I joined a gym. I work out 3-4 days a week. And I feel stronger, more energetic, and just better with less discomfort. I'm down to 165-170 lbs. right now. I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm a lot better than I was before.
I've never done a 5K before, but I'm looking forward to it. I just want to finish without too much pain. I don't have a time goal, but I don't want to finish last!!!!
It should be fun jumping on all the inflatable obstacles, the II5K was a huge success last year. I expect more this year. I hope to see you there!!!
