Former Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge will be making a visit to Battle Creek this summer and is bringing some other former Tigers players with him.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that a non-profit event called "Dingers for DIPG" will take place on August 17th at C.O. Brown Stadium. The event will include a youth skills camp for players ages 8 to 14. Then a home run derby will be held with scheduled appearances from several former Tigers including Placido Polanco, Craig Monroe, Mike Hessman and 2018 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Alan Trammell.

Proceeds will benefit the ChadTough Foundation, which helps fund research and raises awareness for pediatric brain tumors. They named the organization after the grandson of former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, Chad Carr, who passed away four years ago.

Brandon Inge played for 12 seasons in Detroit and helped the Tigers advance to the World Series in 2006 as the team won the American League pennant.
