With limited activity available right now, some ski resorts have announced their opening dates for December.

Good news for you skiers and snowboarders in Michigan, opening dates have been announced for several ski resorts for December. Boyne Mountain, Boyne Highlands, and Nub's Nob have announced the opening for the season.

For those looking to hit the hills at Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands, here is what we know so far. 

  • Open to pass holders on Wednesday, December 16th.
  • Open to daily ticket holders on Saturday, December 19th
  • Lift tickets will be limited this year. Customers are encouraged to buy early and online to secure their tickets. Peak days are Saturdays and holidays.
  • Slope hours are 9 am until 4:30 pm. (Extended hours 9 am until 9 pm begin on December 26th)

Opening day of ski season is a date we always look forward to, and this year it feels even more special to be welcoming our friends back to the slopes...While many things are different this year, including within our operations, it’s important that we all pull together to make this a safe and enjoyable season. The outdoors are open and we’re excited to kick off this season!...said Ed Grice, Boyne Mountain’s President and General Manager. 

As for Nub's Nob, here is what we know. Nub's Nob will be open for business this weekend on Saturday, December 12th, and Sunday, December 13th. So far Sno Pro, Smooth Sailing, and Big Time will be open for runs with more possible. Lift tickets are $60 for adults and $50 for children.
