Ford Field Will Host The Browns vs. Bills Game Because Of Intense Winter Weather
This Sunday the Detroit Lions will be on the road taking on the New York Giants, but there will be an NFL game played at Ford Field in Detroit.
Three To Six Feet Of Snow Is Expected
The Cleveland Browns were scheduled to take on the Buffalo Bills this Sunday at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.
But Mother Nature has thrown a wrench into those plans. There is a snow system on its way that could produce anywhere from three to six feet of snow.
Adam Schefter reported that this could be a possibility early Thursday morning.
What The Heck Is Thundersnow?
After reading that tweet I had to google what the heck is "thundersnow" and according to Wikipedia,
thundersnow, also known as a winter thunderstorm or a thundersnowstorm, is a kind of thunderstorm with snow falling as the primary precipitation instead of rain.
Then on Thursday afternoon, Mary Kay Cabot tweeted that the game would be moved to Ford Field in Detroit, Mich.
This means that the Buffalo Bills will now play two games in Detroit in five days - Sunday against the Browns and then on Thanksgiving Day vs the Lions.
Can You Get Tickets To The Browns vs Bills Game At Ford Field?
I found this on the Buffalo Bills website
Details on tickets and other game-day information for Sunday's game in Detroit will be announced shortly.
If tickets are available for the game, I think I might have to hop in my car and take a trip on out to the east side to watch the game. Maybe I'll run into Ken "Pinto Ron" Johnson.
He's a legendary Bills tailgater who attends every Bills home and away game, and annually has himself covered in condiments for the entertainment of others.
