Bill Beekman Named MSU’s Athletic Director

In a press conference at the 1855 Building in East Lansing on Monday morning, Michigan State University interim president John Engler named interim athletic director Bill Beekman as the school's full-time AD.

Beekman replaced Mark Hollis on an interim basis back in January when Hollis retired from his post during the Larry Nassar sexual assault scandal.

Before becoming AD, Beekman has served as the executive director of the MSU Alumni Association, and was the secretary of the Board of Trustees before being appointed interim AD.

He is a 1989 graduate of Michigan State, and an Okemos native.  Beekman participated in cross-country track during his high school days at Okemos HS.
