Betting Line Set For First MSU Football Game

vegasinsider.com has set the opening line for the Utah State at Michigan State football game, which is set for August 31st at Spartan Stadium with a 7:00pm kickoff.

The betting website has the Spartans as a 27 point favorite to beat Utah State in East Lansing.  The Spartans are coming of a 10-3 campaign and a Holiday Bowl victory over Washington State.

Other opening weekend games involving Big Ten teams show that Purdue is a 4 1/2 point home favorite over Northwestern on August 30th.  Minnesota is a 14 1/2 point favorite over New Mexico State, Wisconsin is a 33 point home favorite over Western Kentucky, while Ohio State is a 38 point favorite in Columbus against Oregon State.

Also, Penn State is a four touchdown favorite over Appalachian State.  There is no current line for Michigan at Notre Dame on September 1st in South Bend.
