Ben Wallace Among Hall of Fame Finalists for 2017

A cornerstone of the Pistons' 2004 NBA Championship is up for enshrinement at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for 2017.

Ben Wallace the center for that 2004 team and four time defensive player of the year is part of a nominee list that extends over 50 names from the North American and Women's nomination committees.

Other notable names on the nominee list for 2017 include Tracy McGrady, Chris Webber, Tim Hardaway and Maurice Cheeks.

Finalists for the 2017 hall of fame class will be announced during the NBA's All-Star weekend with final enshrinement happening in early September 2017.
