Other than bagging groceries at the A&P in town or milking cows on Daddy and Mother’s dairy farm, I’ve only ever worked on-air in radio. After high school, I read the obituary report on the Lapeer radio station (yep, same frequency) and was a Mortarman in the 4th Infantry Division in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Bringing free-form radio back to Detroit in creating and hosting The Riff Rock Café and being Your Afternoon Coffey Break were the high-points of my radio career in the Motor City. I’m glad for the opportunity to entertain and inform listeners every morning on US 103.1, to promote the neighborhood and to be part of the community I grew up in.
