Augusta National To Limit Patrons To April’s Masters
The Augusta National Golf Club announced on Tuesday that they will limit patrons to April's Masters Tournament due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Last November, the COVID-19 delayed Masters was played with no fans in attendance. Tuesday's announcement signals improvement in that area.
The 85th Masters Invitational tournament is the first of the four golf majors played every year (Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, British Open). But because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament was moved to November for the first time ever.
American Dustin Johnson won the 2020 Masters to win his first Green Jacket and second major title overall (as seen by the scoreboard above). Johnson won the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont CC in Pennsylvania.
