The Detroit Lions just released their training camp schedule for the summer and not only is it free for fans to attend but they also will be doing a few practices with Super Bowl champs, New England Patriots.

Three games will be exclusive only to season ticket holders, including the first day of camp and the first joint practice with the Patriots. Other than those 3 days, the camps will be open to the public. The schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, July 25 **Season Ticket Holders
  • Friday, July 26
  • Saturday, July 27
  • Sunday, July 28
  • Tuesday, July 30
  • Wednesday, July 31
  • Thursday, Aug 1
  • Sunday, Aug 4 ** 
  • Monday, Aug 5 - **JOINT PRACTICE WITH PATRIOTS
  • Tuesday, Aug 6 - JOINT PRACTICE WITH PATRIOTS
  • Wednesday, Aug 7 - JOINT PRACTICE WITH PATRIOTS

Training camp is held at the Lions practice facility in Allen Park and is open for all ages. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. and all games will begin at 9:30 a.m. According to the Detroit Lions website, people can also expect family-friendly activities, giveaways, autograph opportunities, tailgates, and photos with the Lions Cheerleaders. 

They also hope to have a practice night (open to the public) at Ford Field on August 2nd. 

Preseason kicks off at home on Thursday, August 8th with Detroit Lions vs New England Patriots at 7:30 p.m.
