So the summer flew by and fall is here, Halloween is right around the corner. Time to be excited about pumpkin carving, candy treats, haunted houses, and hayrides.  We are so fortunate to live in such a great state for all of that, as well as some great fall colors.

The only downfall is there is way too much to do and see, it's impossible to see everything Michigan has to offer for Halloween. Keep in mind too, there are many places that are a short drive away from the Lansing area that has so much to offer this spooky Halloween season.

3 years ago when I was working in Detroit and lived in Novi, I discovered Dearborn, Michigan has some great fall fun for Halloween. If Halloween and October are a favorite time of year for you keep this in mind.

Someplace Fun For Halloween This Year

I found Halloween at Greenfield Village through some friends. It's a huge October celebration for the creepy, spooky, and scary in you. I remember walking through Greenfield Village which feels like you’ve stepped into a real-life Halloweentown according to apartmenttherapy.com.

So in the off-season, Greenfield Village is one of The Henry Ford Museum’s main historical attractions.

But when October rolls around, things start to get a bit spooky in Greenfield. The celebration is called Hallowe’en, and it’s been a thing in Greenfield for over 40 years. Visitors can check out harvest markets, meet costumed storybook characters, and watch ghostly performances when they come to Greenfield during October.

 

Halloween Dinner The Kids Will Love

There is also Halloween dining fun with a buffet for kids called the Fairy Tale Feast.  So if you are making Halloween plans now in Michigan this may be something to add to your list this year. Dearborn’s Greenfield Village is just another way to celebrate in October with Mom and dad and your little ghost and goblins,
