Jeffrey Flanagan of royals.com is reporting that the Kansas City Royals have agreed to terms with one of their homegrown players, and one of the top free agent targets of this off-season.

Left fielder Alex Gordon has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal worth $70 million to remain with the club.  He's been with the organization since the team drafted him in 2005.

Gordon missed time in 2015 because of a groin injury, but he was a key player for them in the team's run to the World Series title.  He hit .271 for KC in 104 games.

An announcement could come as soon as Wednesday.
