The MSU Spartans won their last home game against the Scarlet Knights of Rutger's Univeristy, 45-3. MSU didn't waste any time in the 1st quarter. Starting with a 30 yard pass from Connor Cook to Tony Lippett for a TD. Minutes later in the 1st, Jeremy Langford rushed for 18 yards for the second Spartan TD in the 1st quarter. Michael Geiger kicked both successful PATs. The Spartans kept things going in the 2nd quarter, with Langford rushing 38 yards for another TD. MSU increased their lead to 4 scores when Nick Hill rushed for a yard for the MSU TD. The Spartans wern't done for the half, Cook completed a 7 yard pass to R.J. Shelton, giving a 5 score lead going into halftime. The Scarlet Knights got on the board in the last seconds of the 3rd with Kyle Federico kicking a 44 yd Field Goal, making the score 35-3 going into the 4th. The Spartans responded in kind in the 4th with a 23 yd FG, kicked by Geiger. This was followed by another Nick Hill TD, Rushing for 16 yards. Cook dominated in passing for 254 yards. Jeremy Langford rushed for 126 yards, and Tony Lippett led in receiving for 72 yards.
