3 Places To Go Ice Skating In The Lansing Area
Ice skating is one of those quintessential winter activities filled with fun. However, since most bodies of water aren't frozen yet, ponds and other outdoor options are out of the questions. But fret not, there are a few indoor places right hear in the Lansing area that offer public skating hours.

Suburban Ice
Suburban Ice in East Lansing offers public ice skating hours. There's open skate for all ages during mid-days, weekends, and some evenings. There's also adult public skate for those 18 and older. The times vary throughout the month for all the different types of public skate, but all can be found on this month long schedule here. It costs $4-5 to skate and $2 for skate rental. The Summit Sports & Ice Complex
Public skate at The Summit Sports & Ice Complex is open to all ages during various day, night, and weekend hours. If you've got little ones under 4 years old, they'll be free. Otherwise, it'll be $5 - 6 to skate and $2 to rent skates. Check out the public skate schedule for December, here.

Munn Ice Arena
Munn Ice Arena is located on MSU's campus, and not only offers public skate, but also open hockey times and freestyle times. Public skate at Munn Ice is priced similarly to the other locations; $4 - 6 to skate, and $2 to rent skates. Hockey is $7 a person, they must be 14 or older, and they have to have all their own equipment. Freestyle times are for "figure skaters to work on skills, jumps and routines", and it's $8 a skater.
