CBS Sports is reporting that the 2020 National Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony is canceled.

According to the report, the decision was made Wednesday afternoon. This means that the 2020 Class will have to wait to be inducted until next year when the 2021 Hall of Fame Class is enshrined. The 2020 ceremony was to take place in July 2020.

The 2020 Hall of Fame Class features four inductees, most notably longtime New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who was one vote shy of being voted in unanimously. Michigan native Ted Simmons is also a part of the 2020 class, along with Larry Walker and the late Marvin Miller.

That means, next year, these four will join whomever may be voted in to the Hall of Fame for the 2021 class.

All events that were scheduled to surround the induction ceremony are all canceled as well.
