Season Outlook:

First-year head coach Todd Coe has 28 players on the roster and 15 returning players this year.  They lose star Qwann Crockett but four-year starter Zach McGowan is back leading the way for the Spartans. He'll play linebacker and running back.

The Spartans just missed the playoffs and that's their singular goal this season.  Their schedule is doable if they want to make the postseason.  They have a shot to be 5-0 playing defending state finalist Battle Creek St. Philip at home in week 6.

If the defense comes around, the playoffs will happen.  How far they go if they get there is anyone's guess.
