On Monday, the Detroit Tigers introduced their latest signing, starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman at a press conference.

This same conference was also a vehicle where Tigers owner Mike Ilitch was asked some questions and he was a little more telling than usual about a few Tigers moves over the years.

When asked about the Tigers not re-signing Max Scherzer.

And about the decision and way former GM Dave Dombrowski was let go.

Scherzer of course went on to the Washington Nationals where he pitched two no hitters last season, and Dombrowski operates currently as the General Manager of the Boston Red Sox.

While maybe not the most detailed or most telling responses ever they are a little more than we usually get out of the elder statesman owner of the Tigers.

Do these responses clear up any issues you previously had with the Tigers decisions on these issues? Sound off below.
