1. Spartans Dominate Rutgers

This past weekend, Michigan State topped Rutgers on senior day at Spartan Stadium 45-3.  Michigan State played well in every area of the game. Jeremy Langford led the way on the ground with 126 yards on 16 carries as well as 2 touchdowns. This extended his 100 + yard streak against Big Ten opponents to 14 games.  Nick Hill also added 12 rushes for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Connor Cook also had a good game completing 16/24 of his passes for 254 yards and 2 touchdowns. 5 of the completions were to Tony Lippett who has 1,000 + yards on the season.  Michigan State had 3 interceptions during the game but still gave up 2 fumbles.  Michigan State finishes the regular season on the road at Penn State.

2. New England Dominates Detroit

Yesterday afternoon, the New England Patriots topped the Detroit Lions 34-9 dropping them to 7-4 on the year. The Lions played bad in every aspect of the game not getting much going on offense or defense.  Matthew Stafford went 18/46 for 264 yards and 1 interception.  Joique Bell had 48 yards on 19 rushing attempts with 0 touchdowns.  Golden Tate lead the team in receiving with 4 catches for 97 yards.  Calvin Johnson finished with 4 receptions for 58 yards.  Tom Brady lit up the Lions defense going 38/53 for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. The Lions next game will be against the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day.

3. Michigan Falls To Maryland On Senior Day

On senior day in Ann Arbor, Michigan hosted the Maryland Terrapins looking to become bowl eligible before the showdown with Ohio State. Michigan could not find the offense in the 2nd half only scoring 1 touchdown losing 23-16.  Devin Gardner went 13/24 for 106 yards and 1 interception.  Drake Johnson lead the way on the ground running 14 times for 94 yards. Michigan will go to Columbus to take on Ohio State next week trying to finish 6-6 on this rocky season.

4. Red Wings Fall To Toronto Over The Weekend

Over the weekend, the Detroit Red Wings fell to Toronto in Toronto 4-1.  The Red Wings looked flat during the game with the only goal being scored by Thomas Tatar.  Jimmy Howard took the loss saving 24 of the 27 shots he faced and fell 8-4-4 on the year.  The Red Wings will play again tonight against the Ottawa Senators at home looking to get a win streak going.

5. Pistons Fall To Hawks

The Detroit Pistons took on the Atlanta Hawks Friday night in Atlanta falling 99-89.  The Pistons shot poorly again only making 37.3% of the shots.  Josh Smith had 16 points while shooting 8-19 throughout the game.  Andre Drummond had a double-double with 13 points and 16 total rebounds.  The Pistons fell behind early after scoring only 15 points in the 2nd quarter.  Jeff Teague lead the scoring for both teams scoring 28 points making 2-3 from behind the arc and 8-8 from the free throw line. The Pistons will travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks tomorrow night.
