1. Tigers Offense Disappears Losing 1-0

The Detroit Tigers cannot find the offense while looking for the sweep against the Rays, losing 1-0.  David Price pitched 8 innings giving up 1 unearned run with 9 strikeouts giving up 1 hit.  The Tigers had 4 hits, 2 of the hits from Eugenio Suarez but could not capitalize Alex Cobb.  The lone run was on a triple after Eugenio Suarez had an error allowing Ben Zobrist to get on base.  The Tigers are back in action tonight against the Minnesota Twins starting at 8:10 at Target Field.  The Tigers are 1 and a half games back in the standings.

2. Minnesota Looking To Get Younger

With the Kevin Love trade on the horizon, Minnesota is looking to enter another trade, this time with the 76ers.  The Timberwolves are looking to add Thaddeus Young to their team but, it is unknown to see who will be traded.  There is another report out saying they will not trade Anthony Bennett, who many believe they will acquire from the Cavaliers.  The Kevin Love trade can be agreed to starting tomorrow after the 30 day waiting period.

3. Former Michigan State Running Back In Some Legal Trouble

After a traffic stop the other day, Le'Veon Bell is going to face a marijuana charge.  It was reported that Le'Veon Bell and LaGarrette Blount were pulled over and the officer could smell the marijuana before finding it in the car.  While Bell and Blount were both arrested before the Steelers preseason game yesterday, they both played in the game.  Read more about the incident here.

4. Two Polarizing Teams Face Off In LLWS

Jackie Robinson West, the team from Chicago, took on Taney from Pennsylvania in an elimination game.  While Mo'ne Davis was not pitching, she was in the lineup which many people were looking forward to see.  But, her run has come to an end as Jackie Robinson West beat Taney 6-5 to take on Nevada in the US Championship.

5. Kansas City To Play Texas

The Royals were off yesterday but are turning to a rookie to start off their series against the Texas Rangers, 3 game series in Texas.  They will head home welcoming in the Yankees in a make up game, Twins, Indians and the Rangers.  The Royals enter the series up 1 1/2 games on the Tigers and will play the Tigers 6 more times before the season is over.
