Jussi Jokeinen scored the only goal in a shootout to lift the Pittsburgh Penguins over the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 at the CONSOL Energy Center Wednesday night. It was Jokinen's second goal of the night, his first came in the third period to give Pittsburgh (50-24-6) a 3-2 lead. James Neal scored the other two goals for the Penguins. Detroit(35-27-15) had goals from Tomas Jurco, Jakub Kindl and Riley Sheahan whose goal with 1:15 left in regulation tied the game at 3. Despite the loss, Detroit secured their 23rd straight playoff appearance by virtue of the point earned by going to overtime. Currently the Red Wings sit in the eight and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with two games to go. Detroit returns to Joe Louis Arena for the regular season home finale Friday night against Carolina. Pregame coverage begins at on The Game 730AM at 7:10pm.
