Now that 2017 is in full swing I see one thing the panhandlers are still out in full force. Its to the point of nausea. How this country can let this happen is incredible. I don't know what happens in other cities, but I see it everyday in Lansing. How this city lets these individuals stand in front of businesses and bother citizens is not good. What kind of message does this send to the youth of this area.

I know there are many jobs in this city that these men and women can do. But, they would rather hold up cardboard signs and not try and better themselves. Many people might disagree with me, but that's alright. I think there is something fishy about the panhandling in Lansing. Many times that I have driven by these corners where the panhandlers hangout, there is a back pack waiting for them.

These people would rather stand in sub zero weather then getting a job or some other assistance. To me this makes no sense. Who should be responsible to stop the panhandling? Should it be local government? Should it be the voters? I don't know. But, I know this is real problem in this great city. Will this problem come to an end in 2017? I guess will see.
