Kirk Cousins former MSU star passed for 381 yards and three touchdowns, but also had three turnovers in his first start of the season. Kirk Cousins had a stellar career at MSU. When he came to MSU from the West side of state, he didn't have a lot of colleges knocking down his door.

Through perseverance and hard work, he became one of the top quarterbacks in the country. Cousins transformed his athleticism and spiritual beliefs into his strength. The only problem was two years ago during the NFL draft, he was chosen in the forth round. That has turned into a tumultuous situation for the Washington Redskins, because they also drafted the Heisman Trophy winner out of Baylor Robert Griffin III. RGIII is an elite running quarterback who is a franchise type player, but he injured his knee very badly last year. He worked incredibly hard to be back in the lineup this year. Which in turn Cousins would have been the starter but the owner of the Redskins Dan Snyder wanted RGIII.

Now, RGIII has been put on the shelf for the remainder of the season, and Kirk Cousins will start the remainder of the season. As I stated he had a pretty good first start losing to the Falcons 27-26 on Sunday. Kirk Cousin's ability to be a starter in the NFL has caused this problem because his head coach, Mike Shanahan wanted to bench RGIII earlier in the season, but Snyder wanted RGIII. Kirk Cousins is showcasing his talent to be traded to another NFL roster.
