The Sporting News is reporting that longtime on-air personality and columnist John Clayton is included in the recent and extensive layoffs at ESPN.

Clayton has been with ESPN for nearly a quarter-century.  He has a radio show in Seattle, which he will continue doing.  He's worked as a newspaperman in Pittsburgh as well.

It was publicized that ESPN laid off around 100 employees back in April.  They included NFL Countdown co-host Trent Dilfer, NFL writer and reporter Ed Werder, and veteran college basketball reporter Andy Katz.
