Valentine, Powers Named Michigan State Athletes Of The Year
Michigan State basketball players Denzel Valentine and Aerial Powers have been named the school's George Alderton Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
Valentine was named the Big Ten Player of the Year and won several National Player of the Year Awards during this past season, his senior year.
Powers, a fourth-year junior, was a first team All Big Ten performer this year. And she became MSU's all-time leading scorer during her career.
