USA Today names Denzel Valentine as National POY
USA Today has named Michigan State senior guard Denzel Valentine as the publication's college basketball National Player of the Year on Tuesday morning.
Valentine was named the unanimous Big Ten Player of the Year on Monday evening. He averaged 19.6 points and 7.5 assists a game during the regular season. Both stats lead the conference.
Denzel was also named unanimously to the All-Big Ten first team as well as being named conference Player of the Year.
