In a press conference on Friday, USA Hockey announced that former NHLer and current Wisconsin head hockey coach Tony Granato will coach Team USA in next February's Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

One of Granato's assistants is former Detroit Red Wing and Hockey Hall of Famer Chris Chelios.  This is the first Olympics since 1994 where NHL won't participate as a whole.

Tony played for Team USA in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  His younger sister, Cammi won the first Women's Olympic Gold Medal as part of Team USA in 1998 in the Nagano, Japan Olympics.
