The Louisville men's basketball program has received four years of probation and has to vacate all wins for four seasons as punishment for a sex scandal involving recruits and a former assistant coach, the NCAA announced on Thursday.

As part of the penalty, head coach Rick Pitino (pictured) will miss five Atlantic Coast Conference games next season.

There is no word as of yet if the Cardinals have to give up the NCAA championship that they won in 2013 with a victory over Michigan (the vacating of victories are between December of 2010 through April of 2014).  If they do, Michigan will not be declared national champions, the championship titlist will become vacant.
