Two of the winningest schools in Division I college football history, Michigan and Notre Dame, are in talks to possibly play each other in non-conference action as soon as 2018.

The last time they played was in 2014 at Notre Dame Stadium.  But as soon as Jim Harbaugh took over as head coach before the 2015 season, he made it known that he wanted the Fighting Irish back on the schedule.

The schools had a deal to play each other well into to 2030's before the series ended in 2014.
