256 11-man football programs made the MHSAA playoffs this year, and 17 of them came from the Lansing-area. We're now down to the State finals and the Lansing area has two representatives going to Ford Field.

Pewamo-Westphalia are making their third straight trip to Ford Field and are looking to defend their division 7 crown after they defeated previously unbeaten Lake City 51-8. The Pirates are on a 12 game winning streak with their only loss coming in week 1 to Monroe St. Mary's.

P-W will take on Saugatuck at Ford Field (Sat. 10 A.M.). It's the third straight year these teams will face off in the playoffs, however the previous two instances came in the District round of the playoffs, this time the stakes will be much higher.

In division 6, Ithaca advances to the finals with a 27-0 win over Traverse City St. Francis on Saturday. It's the second shutout the Yellowjackets have posted this playoffs, the first coming in the first round against Byron (43-0).

Ithaca will take on Jackson Lumen Christi (Fri. 4:30 P.M.) who are the defending division 6 champions, Ithaca played in the division 5 playoffs last season. Ithaca will make their seventh Ford Field appearance in the last eight years.
