The National Football League and the social networking site Twitter, have agreed to a deal that will allow the site to stream Thursday night football games on Twitter.  NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced via Twitter on Tuesday.

This is part of the new Thursday night package that takes effect this coming season.  CBS and NBC will have the rights to five Thursday night games apiece.

Twitter will allow fans to watch the game on their smartphones and their computer as more fans follow the league on social media.
