The Twins started in the 1st after a Brian Dozier RBI single, followed by a 2 run homer off the bat of Oswaldo Arcia to give the Twins a 3 run lead at the bottom of the 1st. Dozier took the plate in the 3rd for a homer. In the 4th, Victor Martinez singled on a line drive to bring home Miguel Cabrera. Detroit tried to get a rally going in the 5th starting with Ian Kinsler hitting an RBI single to score Andrew Romine. Miguel Cabrera hit an RBI single to cut the Twin's lead in half. Minnesota rallied in the 6th starting with an Eduardo Escobar RBI double. Dozier scored Escobar with an RBI single, and Kurt Suzuki scored 2 runs with a ground single to give the Twins a 7 run lead over The Tigers. Miggy hit a single run homer in the 7th.
