Tigers Trim Nine From Roster

The Detroit Tigers have made their latest round of cuts on Monday morning.  They sent eight players down to their minor league camp, and optioned pitcher Jose Valdez to Triple A Toledo.

The team still has 43 players left in major league camp, 18 more than the team can carry during the majority of the regular season.

Detroit continues Grapefruit League play on Monday afternoon in Lakeland against the Philadelphia Phillies.
