Four pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout as the Detroit Tigers shut out the Minnesota Twins 1-0 at Comerica Park on Monday night.

Matt Boyd went the first six innings to get his first win of the season.  He gave up three hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.  Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless ninth inning to get his 26th save of the year.

Justin Upton (pictured) provided all the offense the Tigers needed with a solo home run in the second inning that curled around the left field foul pole.  It was Upton's 10th homer of the year and the 200th of his major league career.  Upton had two of the three Tigers hits on the night.

The Tigers and Twins play game two of their series on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.
