Vengeance belongs to the Detroit Tigers (40-32) today, sweeping the Cleveland Indians (37-39), 10-.4 Detroit came out swinging in the 1st inning with Miguel Cabrera hitting a single run home run. The Tigers would add onto their lead in the 3rd after Cabrera hit a ground single to bring home Ian Kinsler. Miggy would reach base in the 5th on a force attempt, after a throwing error from Asdrubal Cabrera, Kinsler was able to score another run. J.D. Martinez hit a line drive double, which brought home both Austin Jackson and Miguel Cabrera. Nick Castellanos hit a fly ball double to score Victor Martinez. Andrew Romine hit a soft line drive single, scoring Castellanos. Kinsler hit a line drive single to bring in Romine. In the bottom of the 5th the Indians would get on the board after a line drive double hit by Michael Brantley scored Michael Bourn. In the 6th, Alex Avila hit a fly double to score Castellanos. The Indians still had some fight left in them in the 9th. Asdrubal Cabrera hit a ground single, bringing in a run from George Kottaras. A double from Michael Brantley was able to bring in 2 more runs from both Michael Bourn and Asdrubal Cabrera. The Tigers go on to play the Texas Rangers on the 24th.
