The Detroit Tigers (47-34) ended their series against the Oakland A's (51-33) on a high note, winning 9-3. The A's started strong in the 1st with two home runs, the first off the bat of Coco Crisp. The second homer was hit by Brandon Moss. Tigers fought back starting in the first after a ground single from Torii Hunter scored a run from Ian Kinsler. Tigers tie the game in the 3rd after a line drive single from Hunter brought home Austin Jackson. In the 4th, the Tigers take the lead after Jackson hit a sharp ground single scored Andrew Romine. The Tigers threw down the gauntlet in the 6th starting with a ground single from Rajai Davis to bring in Alex Avila and Nick Castellanos for a few runs. This was followed by a soft single from Ian Kinsler to score Rajai Davis. Then came Miguel Cabrera who hit a sharp ground double to score runs from Jackson and Kinsler. Torii Hunter hit a single of his own to bring home Miggy. In the 7th, Brandon Moss hit a line drive single to score Coco Crisp for a run for the A's. Tiger's closer Joe Nathan got a 1-2-3 walk off win in the 9th.
