The Detroit Tigers (34-28) defeat the Chicago White Sox (33-34) in a shutout game tonight, 4-0. The first run for the Tigers was in the 5th with a home run off the bat of Victor Martinez. Detroit would add onto their lead after a soft ground single from Miguel Cabrera scored both Eugenio Suarez and Bryan Holaday. Holaday would hit a sharp grounder in the 9th to score Don Kelly. Pitcher Max Scherzer ended up having his first complete game tonight, giving up his first base in the 4th inning. The Tigers come home tomorrow to take on the Minnesota Twins.
