The Detroit Tigers lost the second of a three game series to the Seattle Mariners 3-2 Saturday night at Safeco Field. Wille Bloomquist went 2-4 with two RBI for Seattle (27-28) and Chris Young scattered three hits over six innings for the win and former Tiger Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth for his 14th save. . Detroit (31-21) got a solo home run from Miguel Cabrera and Austin Jackson scored from third base on a wild pitch to complete the Tigers scoring. Drew Smyly (2-4) collected the loss giving up two runs and seven hits in four innings. The two teams conclude their series Sunday afternoon with Max Scherzer (6-1) pitching for Detroit and Roenis Elias (5-3) starting for Seattle.
