The Detroit Tigers got within one run but were unable to get closer and dropped a 6-4 decision to the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park Sunday afternoon. Nick Castellanos hit a two run triple in the top of the eighth inning for Detroit (44-34) to close the gap to 5-4 but Jon Singleton's RBI single in the bottom of that inning to put Houston (36-47) back up by two. Drew Smyly (4-7) took the loss only lasting two innings giving up four runs. Scott Feldman (4-5) pitched six innings for the win and Tony Sipp recorded his first save of the season. The Tigers now travel back home to begin a three game series with Oakland starting Monday night. Scott Kazmir (9-3) will be on the mound for Oakland while Anibal Sanchez (5-2) makes the start for Detroit. Pregame coverage beings at 6:40pm on Lansing's Big Talker 1240 WJIM
