Tigers Option Shane Greene to Triple-A Toledo
In a corresponding move to pitcher Ian Krol being called up yesterday, the Detroit Tigers optioned starting pitcher Shane Greene to the AAA Toledo Mud Hens earlier today.
Greene has struggled since a good start to the regular season for him. He gave up 5 runs on 7 hits in just three innings pitched in his last start on Wednesday night against the Chicago Cubs at Comerica Park.
This is Krol second stint in Detroit this season. He appeared in 6 games, going 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA.
