The Detroit Tigers (68-56) shut out the Tampa Bay Rays (61-65) tonight, 6-0. It all started with an RBI double off the bat of Victor Martinez, bringing home Miguel Cabrera. The Tigers would keep their 1-0 lead until adding runs in the 7th after Ian Kinsler hit a soft line drive single to score Rajai Davis. Victor Martinez blew the game wide open when he took the plate with a 2 out grand slam, giving the Tigers a 6-0 lead. That was all she wrote for the Rays. Tigers Starting Pitcher, Rick Procello completed his 3rd shutout game in 2014, giving up 3 bases with 104 ptiches. Tigers take on the Rays again tomorrow afternoon.
