Tigers Losing Streak Stretches to 7 After 7-5 Loss to Oakland
The Detroit Tigers losing streak was extended to seven after they lost to the Oakland A's at Comerica Park 7-5 on Thursday afternoon.
Billy Butler, Brett Lawrie, and Eric Sogard each went 2-4 for the Athletics (23-33) on the day. Jesse Hahn went seven strong innings, giving up one run on five hits.
The Tigers (28-27) scored four runs in the ninth to make it respectable. Daniel Fields got his first major league hit, a double, and later scored a run. And Tyler Collins hit his first home run of the season.
