Tigers lose another one to the Pirates, 4-2

The Detroit Tigers (63-54) couldn't get past the Pittsburgh Pirates (64-55) tonight, losing 4-2. The Tigers got on the board in the 1st after a ground single off the bat of Ian Kinsler brought home Ezequiel Carrera for a one run lead. In the 2nd Gabby Sanchez brought home Russel Martin home off a ground double. Travis Snider hit a soft line drive double to score a run by Sanchez. A ground single by Jordy Mercer brought in Josh Harrison for a run in the 3rd. Alex Avila hit a homer in the 4th to bring the deficit down by 1 in the 4th. But, the Pirates fought back in the 6th after an Ike Davis double brought in Starling Marte to give the Pirates a 2 run lead and the win. The Pirates come to Motown for 2 games, the first is tomorrow night. Pregame coverage starts at 6:40 PM on Lansing's Big Talker, 1240 AM, WJIM.
