The Detroit Tigers began a nine game road trip with a 6-4 win over the Cleveland Indians Friday night at Progressive Field. Detroit (38-32) staked out a 5-0 lead with a two run home run from Victor Martinez in the fourth followed by a three run shot from J.D. Martinez in the seventh. Cleveland (37-37) rallied to trail 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh with a pair of home runs from Asdrubal Sanchez and Carlos Santana. Ian Kinsler added an RBI double in the ninth to give a Detroit its margin of victory. Rick Porcello (9-4) pitched six shutout innings to earn the win, Corey Kluber (6-5) took the loss for the Indians and Joe Nathan made his 15th save. The two teams continue their series Saturday night when Justin Verlander (6-7) takes the hill for the Tigers and Trevor Bauer ( 2-3) starts for Cleveland.
