The Detroit Tigers saw their five game win streak snapped by the Kansas City Royals 5-2 at Kauffman Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Tigers had built a 2-0 lead in the third inning thanks to RBI from J.D. Martinez and Miguel Cabrera. The lead held untilthe seventh when the Royals scored five runs in the inning led by forner Tiger Omar Infante who's two out, tow run single broke the tie and Eric Hosmer's RBI double. Justin Verlander (8-8) took the loss for Detroit, Yordano Ventura (7-7) earned the win the Royals and Greg Holland earned his 25th save. Detroit will now go into the All-Star break with a record of 53-38 and sit in first place in the AL Central with a 6.5 game lead, Kansas City goes into the break at 48-46.
