It's Official, The Detroit Tigers are the Central Division Champions for the 4th year, winning the last game of the regular season against the Minnesota Twins, 3-0. Ian Kinsler got things started in the 3rd with single run homer. Tigers would keep the 1-0 lead until the 8th inning when Kinsler took the plate again and hit a ground single, scoring Andrew Romine. For the last run, Torii Hunter took the plate and hit a sacrifice fly, bringing home Ezequiel Carrera. David Price pitched 7 1/3 no-run innings, and became the leader for strikeouts in the regular season with 270 strikeouts. Joe Nathan took the mound and had a 1-2-3 inning for the walk off victory. The Tigers end the regular season 90-72. The Tigers have the next 3 days off and then it's off to Baltimore to take on the Orioles on Thursday Night.
