The Detroit Tigers ran out to an 11-1 lead but then gave up eight runs in the last three innings but escaped with a 12-9 win over the Minnesota Twins at Comerica Park Saturday night. Eugenio Suarez, playing in only his sixth game went 3 for 4 and was a single short of hitting for the cycle, Nick Castellanos, Ian Kinsler and Victor Martinez also had three hits a piece including Martinez' 17th home run for Detroit (35-29). Minnesota (32-34) was led by Danny Santana and Eduardo Nunez with two hits a piece and Brian Dozier who hit his 15th home run. Anibal Sanchez (3-2) got the win on the mound for Detroit while Samuel Deduno (2-5) took the loss for the Twins. The two teams complete their series Sunday afternoon as Rick Porcello (6-4) throws for the Tigers and Ricky Nolasco (4-5) takes the hill for the Twins.
